IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING TEXT MESSAGING DATA

Grippit LLC (“Grippit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) DOES NOT share customer opt-in information, including phone numbers and consent records, with any affiliates or third parties for marketing, promotional, or any other purposes unrelated to providing our direct services. All text messaging originator opt-in data is kept strictly confidential.

This policy explains what information Grippit collects through grippit.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what we need to answer your inquiry or run your account, we don’t sell it, and we don’t track you around the internet.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Your name, business name, phone number, and email address
  • Your trade, service area, and Google Business Profile link
  • Anything else you type into our forms
  • Opt-in records and timestamps for all communication channels (SMS, email, etc.)

Information we find in public:

  • Your Google Business Profile, reviews, website, and the business contact details listed there
  • We review these after you contact us or sign up, to see whether our service is a good fit for your business

If you become a client:

  • Billing details, which are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank account numbers.
  • Your phone setup and the information you share with us during onboarding
  • Records of your requests, service history, and feedback

Basic site traffic:

  • Our website host counts visits, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and your device type
  • This does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
  • Calls and call recordings: calls with Grippit, including calls answered by an AI receptionist, may be recorded and transcribed. We use recordings and transcripts to answer your questions, follow up with you, and improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Answer your questions and review your signup
  • Set up your account and provide our services
  • Contact you by phone, text, or email about your inquiry, signup, or account
  • Bill you if you are a client
  • Understand how our website is used overall so we can improve it
  • Maintain records of your communication preferences and consent
  • Keep our services secure and prevent fraud

3. SMS Messaging & Compliance

Text Message Program Terms & Conditions

By opting in to our SMS messaging program (“Grippit Inquiry, Signup & Account Messages”), you agree to receive text messages about your inquiry, signup, or account, as well as customer support messages.

Opt-In & Consent:

  • You will only receive messages if you have explicitly opted in, either by checking the SMS consent box on our sign-up form and giving us your mobile number, or by texting us first
  • The SMS consent box is unchecked by default, and consent is not a condition of purchase
  • We send marketing texts only if you check the separate marketing consent box
  • We keep timestamped records of all opt-in actions
  • We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable laws

Opt-Out Instructions:

  • You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying “STOP”
  • You will receive one final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again
  • All opt-out requests are processed promptly

Message Frequency & Content:

  • Message frequency varies, typically up to 10 messages per month.
  • Messages are directly related to the services you have requested
  • We do not send promotional content without your specific consent

Help & Support:

Carrier Information:

  • Message and data rates may apply
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
  • Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and most regional carriers

SMS Data Protection Statement

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that provide support services, such as the messaging platform that sends our texts or customer service. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We take strict measures to protect your SMS opt-in information and consent records.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may share information only as follows, and only what is needed:

Service Providers:

  • Email and text messaging providers, which send our messages. SMS aggregators and providers receive information solely to deliver messages you have consented to receive.
  • Our customer management and database systems, where we keep inquiries, signups, and client records
  • Our payment processor (Stripe), which handles billing
  • AI providers that help us draft replies, summarize calls, and prepare follow-up messages. They receive information only to provide these services to us.
  • Our website host
  • The team members and staffing partners who work on your account
  • All service providers and team members are required to keep your information confidential and secure

Legal Compliance:

  • If required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights
  • In response to valid law enforcement requests or court orders

Business Transfers:

  • In case of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business
  • In that case, this policy continues to apply to your information

We never share one client’s information, reports, or strategy with another client.

All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, except the aggregators and providers of our text message services.

5. If You’re a Grippit Client

When we text or respond to your callers and customers on your behalf, we handle their information only to provide our services to you. We don’t use it for anything else, and it remains yours.

AI-assisted replies: Some replies, including from Tad, Grippit's AI assistant, and the AI assistants we set up for our clients, may be drafted or sent with the help of AI tools. You can ask to speak with a person at any time.

6. Data Retention

We keep signup information and our conversations with you for as long as they are useful for following up with you. We keep client information for as long as you are a client, plus any additional time needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including:

  • Using reputable, secure service providers
  • Limiting access to the people who need it to do their work
  • Keeping our team informed about how to handle data properly

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We use commercially reasonable means to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website host collects basic, aggregate traffic data to help us understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or tools that follow you to other websites. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

  • Opt out of marketing emails by clicking “unsubscribe” in our emails
  • Opt out of SMS messages by replying “STOP”
  • Ask how we process your information
  • Withdraw consent for future communications at any time

10. Children’s Privacy

Grippit is a service for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Grippit LLC.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, we will notify our clients by email or post a notice on our website.
